I miss the breaking news alerts!
I recently switched to Windows 10 and I have to admit it is hard to get used to.
Like previous people have said it works fine when the window is open but that's no use!
This feature is not available as of May 19th.
Some Apple stuff irritates me a lot but it is often very configurable in a tucked away hidden sort of way. Daily Mail Online - News, Gossip, Sports & Photos from the No.1 newspaper site. To remove the news items only, try toggling off Spotlight Suggestions only (it's buried in the long list).

How do we get it to do sound notifications even when the program is running but minimized? Try going into settings , apps, email , notifications, new emails , and tap on the sound option and choose your preffered sound. I still can't get it to let me have incoming calls, they go to my phone but not the desktop.

This means that an average user is notified on their email of messages received as well as by app banners. This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only. They did something and it is now giving me desktop notifications and sound.
By default, Microsoft enables email notification for chat messages in Teams. Download our app for award-winning journalism and breaking news stories from the UK and around the world. I need it to alert me when I've not got the window active. No idea what it is called. Microsoft mixed things up and a lot of things are now inaccessible or connected in the background. Now Skype is making again sounds. Current Phone ~Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G SM-9820 _256Gb SnapDragon 865+ Samsung One Ui 2.5/ Android 10. Victor I can`t find "" Get notifications from APPS and other senders" I am using a desktop. It showed up as a selection. Play around with other items on list as you want. I don't like the desktop notifications but it's better than missing an important chat. I'm using Skype for work and am missing chats due to no pop up or sound. The only options I have are the default Samsung notification sounds. Downloaded iOS 9 and 9.1 etc and have noticed that I'm now receiving a news feed I hadn't signed up for.

I found that if you Uninstall an app, then re-install it, you'll get the notification sound that comes with the app.
The notification sounds have nothing to do with the “coding” of the app. How do I stop receiving News notifications from Sky news etc after downloading iOS 9?
